The idea for Furoshnikov's grew out of an interest in a healthy alternative to commercial dog food that developed when my dog, Ellie Furoshnikov, became seriously ill in 1999. Over the next year and a half, I worked with the nutritionist at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine to develop the formulas and test the products that are featured on this site. We worked diligently to create products that are easy to make and nutritious to eat.
Our mission is simple: to help people feed their dogs a complete and balanced diet using minimally-processed and preservative-free whole foods.
